Saundra,
Jesus went to the mountainside and prayed all night. Tonight, I will go to the mountainside for you. I will be awake between 3 and 4 a.m. praying for you and yours. May these prayers cover you like feathers as our Lord so many times has covered us. He is the shield and rampart. You need not run to Him. He is already there.

Words from Steven Curtis Chapman Song...Be Still and Know that He is GOD!!!

Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know that He is holy
Be still, O restless soul of mine
Bow before the Prince of peace
Let the noise and clamor cease

Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know that He is faithful
Consider all that He has done
Stand in awe and be amazed
And know that He will never change
Be still

Be still, and know that He is God
Be still, and know that He is God
Be still, and know that He is God

Be still; Be speechless

Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know He is our Father
Come rest your head upon His breast
Listen to the rhythm of His unfailing heart of love
Beating for His little ones
Calling each of us to come
Be still, Be still

May God Wrap His arms around each of you tonight and allow you to rest in HIS presence. karen

Saundra,
I just read most of the comments posted on facebook. Amazing. I too was awake most of last night, each time I awoke I prayed for John. Today as I worked, John was always on my mind as well as you and the kids. I am confident that a miracle is in the making! Keep on believing.

Psalm 121

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

We are thinking about you always... Love and prayers.

Saundra, I want to comment to this post about rest and keeping the evil one at bay. I have been praying fervently for your husband. I don't know him and I don't know you...but I am a wife and a mother and I can feel your pain.

Ephesians 6:12 in The Message version says this: "God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we'll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels."

When God gave me this verse, I found it quite poignant that it references an athletic event. Satan will use anything and everything that he can to bring us down. He sees God's sons and daughters praying and petitioning night and day for John and it is, quite frankly, driving him insane. The pressure is on. You cry out even harder and so shall we. We gather together from across the miles as one body, one weapon formed against the evil one!

This verse is part of The Armor of God verse.
Put on your Armor...We are in the battle with you. You are not alone. I pray to you Abba, Father! I cry out to you now for Saundra...for rest! For Peace, I bind Satan from that place! I ask in faith...mighty faith, God that You will grant these requests. We believe in Your power and Your might. You are The Lord our Healer-Jehovah-Rapha. Touch this family now Lord. As Your humble servant, I ask these things in Your Sons Name, Amen

There was another prayer service held tonight at the High School. Again, an amazing group of teens, their parents, and your co-workers gathered to lift their teacher & friend in prayer. The whole time I felt compelled to pray for rest for you and the kids. Two hours later, I read this posting. God knows what you need, and is ready to give it to you. Rest well & be ready to celebrate a miracle!

Saundra,
I have your family's name down on my prayer request, by my keyboard at work, so everytime I looked down and would see your name I would uplift you/family in prayer.
Ps 5:1-5
Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my sighing. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and WAIT IN EXPECTATION!
We love you guys! Brad and Trinda Segard

Saundra,

I was at the high school tonight, the out pouring of love and prayers from the kids was over whelming. God was moving in a mighty way. I was thinking as we were praying and Denise Kimbrough was reading the 23 Psalm, can you and your family feel the out pouring of God's love at this very moment. In my personal time of need I cling to this verse.

Philippians 4:6

Be anxious for nothing , but in everything by "prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 18:20

"For where two or three have gathered together in My name, "there I am in their midst."

I pray right now, " Dear Lord Jesus by the power of your name I ask you cover Saundra, Matthew, Isaac,Hannah, Rachel, and all of John's family with a blanket of peaceful sleep. Put guards of angels around them as a hedge of protection. Bind up the enemy and send him and his demons back to the pits of hell. Only peace, love and healing are aloud in their midst. I ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Chris our risen savior.

Sleep we will continue to pray.

To all of the Griffis family: I am praying that God will give you strength and peace in the midst of this storm. I know what it's like to have your husband at death's door and I have seen first hand the power of prayer and felt His blessed peace that passes all understanding. I pray that you will too!

Saundra,
I am praising and thanking God for the healing that John is going through, I pray that people will guard their words and posts to help give your family the much needed rest that they need. Everytime I listen to Air 1 I hear "And I’ve seen miracles just happen, Silent prayers get answered, Broken hearts become brand new, That’s what faith can do" and know how true that is. I can't get it out of my head

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in his wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of his glory and grace.

Love you, Saundra and kids. You will feel God's presence in a real and powerful way.

Praying tonight and big hugs from Gracie!
