Dec 19.....again..I know I posted once today...but had to add this

I just realized....it is December 19. One month since my wonderful husband, and the children's loving father went to meet his Lord and Saviour. I have to imagine he is holding his hands up in Praise to the ONE he served and pleased here on this earth. Standing in awe. Praising and magnifying his name.

Say a Praise with John and me today. For a God that LOVES, FORGIVES, HEALS, WHOSE LOVE HAS NO BOUNDARIES.

Heavenly, Father -

You are the created everything, yet you know each of us by name. You are all powerful, yet gentle enough to hold our fragile bodies in your hands. Father, I pray for Saunie today. I pray that she will sense that You are with her. I pray that she will be comforted in Your presence and find peace. I pray that Your wisdom will flow to her as she makes the decision of this day (and only this day).

I pray for Matthew. I pray that You will take hold of his heart and melt it into your likeness. I pray that You will guard Matthew's heart from turning cold and bitter. In Your presence may Matthew find the answers he needs.

I pray for Hannah. I pray that she will find solace in the gift of her friends, but that she will draw her strength and courage from You. I pray that you comfort her in those times when she is reminded of the heartache she feels and give her peace.

I pray for Isaac. I pray that you will reach into the depth of his heart - the place he hides from everyone and comfort him. Bring peace to his mind and help him to turn the anger that looms at the surface into something constructive and joyful.

I pray for Rachel. Take hold of her heart today and bring joy where sadness reigns. Comfort her and give cover her heart with warmth.

Most of all I pray, Father, that you will bring your hedge of angels to surround this wonderful family. I pray that prayer warriors every where will daily pray for Saunie, Matthew, Hannah, Isaac and Rachel. Give each of the strength and peace they need for THIS DAY and help them to know that you love them. You, Father, love them emphatically. You, Father, love them sacrificially. You, Father, know their hearts. Be their comforter today.

I love you, Saunie. Love your sister Debbie

Hi Saundra,
You have been on my mind all day~of course it was not a work day, so I had plenty of time to just think. And shop...i thought of you as i finished up my shopping. I'm hoping you got the things you wanted to give to your kids (i still have 3 things that may have to wait until mine's birthday). I prayed for you several times, especially to have a peace this Christmas.
You are doing a great parenting job and your love for your kids shows thru your posts. I know an 11 year old who just lost her mother this year. She and her little sister go to Crossings community church-LifeTools for Kids and her mom (or grandma) goes up to the grief for women. It is a small group setting with loving teachers and helps build self esteem while having a place to make friends who are going thru life changes as well... and they all pray for each other and do a SSchool type lesson and play games. Pizza is provided. The older kids go upstairs to youth--lifetools, but adults go to adult Grief or other classes. The family is not all together, but each one has a small group with kids who can understand them a bit more than the average kid who doesn't get urges to cry, or become angry, etc. Shari Murphy is the children's pastor and she can help you get signed up.
I'm glad our little friend goes to this group because I don't feel I need to say something to try to help her, she is getting the help she needs and tells those friends at small group. They are not her school friends, but that's okay, it is her outlet.
I have a scripture to share with you today, Saun:
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
John 14:27

May the peace of Jesus Christ be with you this week, Dawna:)

Saundra, you and the kids are loved and prayed for. I appreciate how you can open up and share your feelings. I do not know how you feel but I know the one who cares and is carrying you when you need the lift. Dear Heavenly Father give strength to my dear friend and continue to surround her with Your love.
Love you, Karis
